Woke up at Rock House camp. Sun bright on the horizon. Headed pretty quickly after coffee to Christmas Circle (giant traffic round about with park and facilities in the center) at Borrego Springs. We may have made breakfast there which was the standard with the addition of some cotilja cheese.
Assembled bikes, fed B. and headed to western end of big valley to see what was what out there; there was out there a lot of dead tamarisk trees, a big organic farm from which we picked a bit of rosemary, lemons, and tangelos. Also what appeared to be a fan palm tree farm and an immense array of solar electric panels.
Back at circle preparing to go to lunch at Rams Hill fancy restaurant with F and E recommended by M in Palm Springs where also P. Samuelson sometimes lives and is expected to arrive at on the 10th; we will probably be gone. Nice lunch though and really good landscaping.
Split for Slot Canyon or maybe it is just called The Slot. Whatever, it is a bit claustrophobic. See pics.
Back at the big library. S shows me R's article in Allure titled "Is It In Your Genes? Ramona Emerson follows her bliss with the help of direct-to-consumer genetic testing."
Liesbet and Mark spent day in library working and reported yelling, crazy slow internet and general bad news.
Later. J and C return from root canal to Rock House where they find F and E. S and I pull up after dark and Carlee’s tavern and for a while all six chat in Thistle. Now, at home, the wind whistles around.
